Born in 1969 in Barcelona, Elisabet Ros studied with Pastora Martos before joining the Instituto del Teatro de Barcelona where she studied dance – classical as well as modern (Graham, Limom, Cunningham), jazz, flamenco – and also theatre. After joining in 1987 the Ballet Royal de Wallonie under the direction of Jorge Lefebre, she is appointed first dancer to the Zaragoza Ballet in 1991 with Mauro Galindo, where she performs the works of North, Forsythe, Sholz, Mohovich to name a few. In 1997, she joins the Béjart Ballet Lausanne where as a soloist she will shine in the prestigious Bolero, but also in numerous other Béjart choreographies among which Le voyage nocturne, MutationX, Casse-Noisette, La Route de la soie, L’ Enfant-Roi, Elton Berg, Brel et Barbara, L’ Art d’être grand-père, Zarathoustra, Le Chant de la Danse and La vie du Danseur.

Elisabet dances also the lead roles in Maurice Béjart’s most famous ballets such as: The Rite of Spring (l’Elue), Cantates 51, Serait-ce la mort?, La Flûte enchantée (la Reine de la Nuit), Wien, Wien, nur Du allein, and also Variation pour une porte et un soupir and L’Amour-La Danse. In 2004, she gets involved with the creation of Casino des Esprits and in 2008 with the creation of Aria, two ballets choreographed by Gil Roman. In 2005, she is the recipient of the Danza & Danza Award for best interpretation in the role of Barbara from Brel et Barbara. She has also been commissioned by Maurice Béjart to help recreate the role of la Mélodie from infamous Bolero at the Paris Opera and the Monte-Carlo Ballets.
