Jiayong started dancing at the age of twelve at the Ballet School Liaoning, China, and continued his training at the Shanghai TongJi University of Dance. He joined the Ballett Zürich in 2009, and then the Ballett Basel in 2012, before becoming company member of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 2013.

 

He performed the pas de deux in Webern Opus V and has danced lead roles in Maurice Béjart’s Ballet for Life, 7 danses grecques, Piaf, The Ninth Symphony, Brel et Barbara, Nutcracker (Grand Pas de deux), The Magic Flute as Tamino, the solo in Un cygne d’autrefois se souvient que c’est lui, Sonate n°5 and Wien, Wien, nur du Allein. He took part in the creation of Gil Roman’s t ‘M et variations…. In 2017, he participated in the creation of Dixit, a piece written and directed by Marc Hollogne with choreographies by Maurice Béjart and Gil Roman.
