Mattia first discovered dance on his own through break dancing, and later trained in ballet at the Scuola Professionale Italiana Danza, in Milan.


In 2010, he joined the Rudra Béjart School Lausanne and then became company member of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 2013.


He performed in various ballets of the company’s repertoire, such as Ballet for Life and Piaf. In 2016, he performed the role of Offenbach in Maurice Béjart’s Gaîté Parisienne, the next year the Sprecher in The Magic Flute and in 2021, the role of the Man in Symphonie pour un homme seul. He took part in the creation of Gil Roman’s t ‘M et variations…, Tous les hommes presque toujours s’imaginent as well as Basso Continuum. He also participated in the creations of guest choreographers Julio Arozarena’s Corps-circuit and Yuka Oishi’s Ku. In 2017, he performed the role of Maurice Béjart in the creation of Dixit, a piece written and directed by Marc Hollogne.
