In 1996, he was accepted at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/rudra-bejart-school-lausanne\/\">Rudra B\u00e9jart School Lausanne<\/a> and joined the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/presentation\/\">B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne<\/a> in 1998. Since 2000, Christophe Garcia developed a choreographic language as he began creating works. His premiere of his first work <em>Alice<\/em> was part of the event Carte Blanche for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/maurice-bejart\/\">Maurice B\u00e9jart<\/a> in 2004. A laureate of many international choreography awards, like the 20th International Competition in Hannover, his work got quickly noticed during different European and North American events. Christophe Garcia has been regularly invited to choreograph for prestigious companies: Scapino Ballet, the Op\u00e9ra-Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Avignon, Ballet Biarritz Junior, Jeune Ballet du Qu\u00e9bec, Jeune Ballet de France and the Ballet d\u2019Europe.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, he created <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/ballet\/le-spectre-de-la-rose\/\"><em>Le spectre de la rose<\/em><\/a> for the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne at the Beaulieu Theatre in Lausanne.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.la-parenthese.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.la-parenthese.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An experienced dancer, trained in theatre, singing and music, Christophe Garcia rapidly converted to choreography.
