Press review.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Friday night, spectators enthusiastically flocked to Forest National to see or to re-experience Maurice B\u00e9jart\u2019s legendary choreography <em>Bol\u00e9ro<\/em>\u201457 years after the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne (BBL) premiered it at La Monnaie, <em>La Libre Belgique<\/em> wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bb During the first part of the show, the public enjoyed <em>t&#8217; M et variations&#8230;<\/em> (\u2026), an original creation by Gil Roman, BBL\u2019s Artistic Director since B\u00e9jart\u2019s passing in 2007. Since then, a significant mission of the BBL has been to keep Maurice B\u00e9jart\u2019s memory and work alive. However, Gil Roman doesn\u2019t neglect the company\u2019s creative efforts. At the age of 19 years old, Gil Roman entered the Ballet du XXe si\u00e8cle, a company founded by B\u00e9jart in Bruxelles. Since then, Gil Roman has never left \u201cMaurice\u201d. While his choreographic foundations come from a strong legacy, he remains innovative and bold.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bb In <em>t&#8217; M et variations\u2026<\/em>, we feel B\u00e9jart\u2019s touch through the mixing of extremely technical movements performed by world class dancers with the use of simple steps from our everyday lives. The choreography\u2019s breathtaking intensity comes from the percussions\u2019 pulse, swinging the scenes from jerky rhythms to gentle melodies.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bb In the second part, the curtain rises on La Passione, an impressive Belgian philharmonic orchestra directed by Paul Dinneweth.
