{"id":23907,"date":"2020-03-10T12:32:13","date_gmt":"2020-03-10T11:32:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/?p=23907"},"modified":"2020-03-11T15:15:40","modified_gmt":"2020-03-11T14:15:40","slug":"bbl-on-tour-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/bbl-on-tour-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"BBL ON TOUR 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe title=\"B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne - Palais des Congr\u00e8s Paris | F\u00e9vrier 2020\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8suXEyysR7U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>So far this year, nearly 15,000 spectators have applauded the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne in Switzerland, Belgium and France.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Starting with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opera-lausanne.ch\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lausanne Opera<\/a> where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/gil-roman\/\">Gil Roman<\/a>&#8216;s company performed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/maurice-bejart\/\">Maurice B\u00e9jart<\/a>&#8216;s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/ballet\/nutcracker\/\">Nutcracker<\/a><\/em> three times in front of sold out crowds. The dancers then traveled to Charleroi in Belgium for the international premiere of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/ballet\/dixit\/\"><em>Dixit<\/em><\/a>, a Cinema-Dance-Theater production written and directed by Marc Hollogne. The audience gave a triumphant reception to all three shows honoring the creator of the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne. This piece combines reality and virtual by cleverly using screens on stage to highlight the choreographies of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/maurice-bejart\/\">Maurice B\u00e9jart<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/gil-roman\/\">Gil Roman<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The company then headed to Paris, where it gave five shows in four days at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palaisdescongresdeparis.com\/en\/site\/palais-des-congres-paris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Palais des Congr\u00e8s<\/a>. The first part featured <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/ballet\/t-m-et-variations\/\">t &#8216;M and variations&#8230;<\/a><\/em>, a ballet by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/gil-roman\/\">Gil Roman<\/a> in which each step expresses words to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/maurice-bejart\/\">Maurice<\/a>, with variations on the theme of love and the inner necessity for dance. In the second part, the Artistic Director presented <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/ballet\/bejart-fete-maurice\/\"><em>B\u00e9jart f\u00eate Mauric<\/em>e<\/a>, with various pas de deux excerpts and more substantial ballets from B\u00e9jart&#8217;s repertoire. This was followed by Bolero and, although <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/gil-roman\/\">Gil Roman<\/a> usually entrusts the main role of &#8220;The Melody&#8221; alternately to Elisabet Ros and Julien Favreau, he exceptionally offered it to the prima ballerina Diana Vishneva for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/spectacle\/t-m-et-variations-bejart-fete-maurice-bolero-paris-2\/\">February 28th<\/a> performance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Back in Lausanne, the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne will resume its tour on March 20 with performances in Biarritz (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/spectacle\/t-m-et-variations-bejart-fete-maurice-biarritz\/\">show on March 22<\/a>) and M\u00e9rignac (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/spectacle\/t-m-et-variations-bejart-fete-maurice-merignac\/\">from March 25 to 27<\/a>). The company&#8217;s agenda includes:<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/ballet\/t-m-et-variations\/\">t &#8216;M and variations&#8230;<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/ballet\/bejart-fete-maurice\/\">B\u00e9jart f\u00eate Maurice<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0 The BBL will then return to its premises to focus its efforts on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/company\/maurice-bejart\/\">Maurice B\u00e9jart<\/a>&#8216;s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/ballet\/ixe-symphonie\/\">Ninth Symphony<\/a><\/em>, to be performed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/spectacle\/the-ninth-symphony-tokyo-april-2020\/\">Bunka Kaikan (Tokyo) from April 25 to 29<\/a>. This masterful show, danced with the <a href=\"https:\/\/thetokyoballet.com\/en\/\">Tokyo Ballet<\/a>, will be presented at the <a href=\"https:\/\/vaudoisearena.ch\/\">Vaudoise ar\u00e9na<\/a> (Lausanne-Malley) from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bejart.ch\/en\/spectacle\/the-ninth-symphony-malley-lausanne-2020\/\">June 12 to 17<\/a>.
