B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne – End of season suspended<\/h2>\n

It is with deep regret that the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne must announce that the shows scheduled until the end of 2019-2020 season will not take place. Due to the on-going global coronavirus concerns, the organizers – Japan Performing Arts Foundation, the Carcassonne Festival and the Chor\u00e9gies d’Orange – have taken the difficult decision to suspend all the performances. These shows will be postponed to later dates.<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Japan Performing Arts Foundation<\/a> and the BBL have taken the decision with a heavy heart to suspend the BBL Japan Tour. The tour was due to start on May 13 and conclude on May 31, 2020, with total of 10 shows in Tokyo, Nagoya, Nishinomiya, Sapporo, Takasaki and Kawaguchi. The program included four ballets: Ballet for Life<\/em><\/a> by Maurice B\u00e9jart<\/a>, Tous les hommes presque toujours s\u2019imaginent<\/em><\/a> by Gil Roman<\/a>, Brel et Barbara<\/em><\/a> and Bol\u00e9ro<\/em><\/a> by Maurice B\u00e9jart.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Carcassonne Festival<\/a> and the Chor\u00e9gies d’Orange<\/a> have also decided to cancel their 2020 events, in which the BBL was to present Ballet for Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All the organizers are actively discussing to reschedule the dates and are hoping to announce as soon as it is finalized on their website and social media. Ticket holders are kindly requested to check the organizers\u2019 website and social media.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank the public for their understanding, support and encouragement since the beginning of the confinement measures.<\/p>\n
