In the 1990s, a fiery young Greek dancer moves through the studios of the Presbytère, after being spotted by Maurice Béjart in Athens. It is there—amid hopes and learning, in the intensity of those youthful years—that the emotions now fueling Real Love, his new creation, took root.
Andonis Foniadakis revisits this sensitive period of self-discovery, assertion, and burning passion. Set to the music of Depeche Mode—a cult band of his adolescence—the piece pulses with vibrant energy, poised between euphoria and nostalgia. On stage, the dancers live each moment as if it were their last: dance becomes celebration, trance, a burst of light in the darkness.
