An experienced dancer, trained in theatre, singing and music, Christophe Garcia rapidly converted to choreography. In 1996, he was accepted at the Rudra Béjart School Lausanne and joined the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 1998. Since 2000, Christophe Garcia developed a choreographic language as he began creating works. His premiere of his first work Alice was part of the event Carte Blanche for Maurice Béjart in 2004. A laureate of many international choreography awards, like the 20th International Competition in Hannover, his work got quickly noticed during different European and North American events. Christophe Garcia has been regularly invited to choreograph for prestigious companies: Scapino Ballet, the Opéra-Théâtre Avignon, Ballet Biarritz Junior, Jeune Ballet du Québec, Jeune Ballet de France and the Ballet d’Europe.

In 2013, he created Le spectre de la rose for the Béjart Ballet Lausanne at the Beaulieu Theatre in Lausanne.
