Always new, the company gives homage to the master with a ballet of excerpts of his works. Series of intertwined pas de deux(s) and excerpts of more ample ballets, Béjart fête Maurice is a sort of light rhapsody, a celebration, a ceremony. Barefoot pas de deux(s), duos on pointe, eloquent characters, mythical and unknown excerpts. Once said in another epoch, Maurice Béjart, an artist, dreamt big, thought far, and did not fear of embracing too much! Gathered by Gil Roman, exactly how a recital would be composed, a festive performance, a light encounter, these fragments of ballets honour Béjart’s taste for celebration and the dancers’ humanity.
