The evening opens with Lux Æterna, a creation by Étienne Béchard. Set within a scenography evoking a train station a place of passage the piece captures those suspended moments where trajectories cross and everything can shift: a departure, a wait, a decision. Carried by the power of Mozart’s Requiem, the work will traverse with intensity the tensions that inhabit us, between stillness and movement.
In echo, Maurice Béjart’s Mozart Tangos unfolds the full richness of his choreographic language. The purity of pointe work, carried by Mozart’s music, enters into dialogue with the carnal power of
Argentine tangos, embodied by male dancers. Between refinement and intensity, rigour and abandon, the work reveals a vibrant choreographic writing where contrasts respond to and enrich one another, bringing to light the full modernity of his language.
This series of performances marks the launch of these anniversary seasons and offers audiences a unique artistic experience, set to become a landmark moment in Lausanne’s cultural landscape.
