The Béjart Ballet Lausanne Returns to Geneva

Following the success of its 2024 performances at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, the Béjart Ballet Lausanne returns to Geneva from October 16 to 19, 2025. The company will present Hamlet by Valentina Turcu, as well as Béjart et nous by Maurice Béjart.

 

As the opening of the evening, Hamlet by the Slovenian choreographer Valentina Turcu, invited to create this ballet for the company in June 2024. This revival of Shakespeare’s theatrical masterpiece explores human madness and passion. In the words of the guest choreographer: “Hamlet explores the margins and depths of the human soul. It opens doors to the hearts of men and women with an invisible key: dance, a universal language.”

The evening concludes with Béjart et nous, a captivating journey through the danced — and musical — repertoire of Maurice Béjart. This poetic and thoughtful creation by Julien Favreau, offers a deep immersion into the Master’s eclectic and prolific body of work, brought to life by the dancers of his company today.
