Born in Laveno-Mombello, in the province of Varese, Italy, Massimiliano discovered dance at the age of 10. He trained at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he performed in a number of productions, including the world premiere of Canone Allegro by Valentino Zucchetti, Serenade under the supervision of Patricia Neary, and Largo by Matteo Levaggi.

 

Fresh out of graduation, he joined the Junior Company of the Wiener Staatsballett in Vienna, where he spent two years performing the company’s repertoire. He notably dances in The Lady of the Camellias by John Neumeier, Sleeping Beauty by Martin Schläpfer, Winter’s Tale by Christopher Wheeldon, as well as Don Quixote and Swan Lake by Rudolf Nureyev, Coppélia by Patricia Bart, and Giselle, among others.

 

Martin Schläpfer created the role of the Wolf specially for him in the world premiere of Peter and the Wolf. He has also collaborated with emerging choreographers such as Eno Peci, Simone Repele, ans Sasha Riva.

 

In 2026, he joined the Béjart Ballet Lausanne.
