Japan Performing Arts Foundation and the BBL have taken the decision with a heavy heart to suspend the BBL Japan Tour. The tour was due to start on May 13 and conclude on May 31, 2020, with total of 10 shows in Tokyo, Nagoya, Nishinomiya, Sapporo, Takasaki and Kawaguchi. The program included four ballets: Ballet for Life by Maurice Béjart, Tous les hommes presque toujours s’imaginent by Gil Roman, Brel et Barbara and Boléro by Maurice Béjart.
The Carcassonne Festival and the Chorégies d’Orange have also decided to cancel their 2020 events, in which the BBL was to present Ballet for Life.
All the organizers are actively discussing to reschedule the dates and are hoping to announce as soon as it is finalized on their website and social media. Ticket holders are kindly requested to check the organizers’ website and social media.
We would like to thank the public for their understanding, support and encouragement since the beginning of the confinement measures.
