On July 16, BBL performed for the first time amidst the enchanting setting of the Chorégies d’Orange, France’s oldest festival (founded in 1869). The Company presented « The Magic Flute » by Maurice Béjart in front of a crowd of 6.500 gathered at the open air National Roman Theater of Orange. The edifice—registered as a UNESCO world heritage site—is considered to be the best preserved theater in Europe and one of the most beautiful legacies from the Roman imperial period.
The Company is now back in Lausanne for 6 days of classes and repetitions before heading to the Budapest Summer Festival in Hungary.
