Béjart Ballet Lausanne June 2023 program.

Discover the backstage of the world premiere of The other song of dance by Yuka Oishi, a guest choreographer invited by the company’s Artistic Director, Gil Roman. This ballet was inspired by her reading of Maurice Béjart‘s book of the same name and set to Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3. It premiered in June 2023 at the Beaulieu Theater.

This issue of Cadanse features an exclusive report with Yuka Oishi in Japan, an introduction to Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 and a Carte Blanche with cartoonist Éric Buche, who drew sketches of the dancers in BBL’s studios.
