Béjart Ballet Lausanne dances again in Geneva

Following its success in 2023 at the Théâtre du Léman, the Béjart Ballet Lausanne is returning to Geneva in 2024. The company will give four performances at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices from October 24 to 27, 2024. The programme is finally revealed.

As the opening of the evening, Bye bye baby blackbird by Dutch choreographer Joost Vrouenraets, invited by the company. Born of deep introspection, his ballet anticipates the process of mourning for a programmed disappearance, the echoes of the physical absence of a loved one. In the succession of tableaux that pulse to the rhythm of the telluric compositions of country music monument Johnny Cash, Bye bye baby blackbird offers itself as an embrace in the light that undulates in the heart of darkness.

The second part of the show the company invites you on a journey through the multicultural world of Maurice Béjart. Three ballets from Maurice Béjart’s repertoire will be presented: Bhakti IIIDuoDibouk and 7 danses grecques.
