Béjart Ballet Lausanne’s Plan_B celebrates dance !

The Béjart Ballet Lausanne is back in its studios at the Presbytère 12 after a triumphant tour in Japan.  As the year draws to an end, Gil Roman and his company are pleased to present a new series of performances to the public at Plan_B. The premiere will take place on Friday, November 19 at 6:30 pm, with Tous les hommes presque toujours s’imaginent.

Plan_B is a space designed by the Artistic Director of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in the heart of the company’s main studio, where visitors can discover the BBL’s work in progress. It can accommodate up to 100 people and allows the public to attend presentations in performance conditions.

We invite you to the first event of a wonderful dance series before the holiday season begins: Tous les hommes presque toujours s’imaginent, a piece by Gil Roman set to John Zorn’s music, which was created in 2019 at the Opéra de Lausanne. It will then be followed by t’ M et variations…, a choreographic piece imagined by the Artistic Director in 2016 for Maurice Béjart. The BBL will also perform it in Guin-Düdingen on November 24 (sold out!). BBL meets Pierre Henry is next on the program and pays tribute to the composer of concrete music with “Improvisations” by seven dancers who randomly choose themes to be performed. Finally, La porte and Symphonie pour un homme seul will be presented.
