Mari started dancing at the age of four in Kobe, Japan, and then continued her training from 2010 to 2011, at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. In 2012, she joined the Rudra Béjart School Lausanne and became company member with the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 2013.

She danced lead roles in Maurice Béjart’s Ballet for Life, Gaîté parisienne, Béjart fête Maurice (Bhakti III), The Magic Flute and Nutcracker (Grand Pas de deux). She took part in the creation of Gil Roman’s Kyôdaï, Tombées de la dernière pluie, Impromptu… t ’M et variations…, Tous les hommes presque toujours s’imaginent, Julio Arozarena’s Fais ce que tu veux avec ces ailes and Yuka Oishi’s 空 Ku. In 2017, she participated in the creation of Dixit, a piece written and directed by Marc Hollogne with choreographies by Maurice Béjart and Gil Roman.
